1. DWSRF Emergency funding is available year-round. Attached is a fact sheet you can distribute (also available on our webpage). No current water system plan or SWSMP is needed to be eligible for emergency funding. We only have $1 million available in emergency funding and it is awarded on a first-come basis.
2. DWSRF Construction loan cycle is October 1 to November 30. We have $1.5 million in grant funding from the legislature for consolidation construction projects that we will make available during the construction loan cycle.
3. And most important: Consolidation feasibility study grants are back!!! We will accept applications August 1 to August 30. $30,000 max per project. Can be used to update plans for a consolidation/restructuring project, feasibility studies, design, public outreach, and connection fees. Not-for-profit Group A community water systems are eligible to apply (HOAs, cities, towns, PUDs, water districts, counties). System being consolidated/restructured must serve fewer than 10,000 people. We have $150,000 available, so can fund up to 5 projects at $30,000 each. Guidelines will be posted soon on DWSRF webpage. Applications will be accepted using our on-line application.
