Understanding water rights is important to ensuring a system has legal access to an adequate supply of water. Having updated and appropriate construction standards and practices is important in improving and replacing the infrastructure necessary to deliver water. Selecting service providers who are appropriate for your system is important because they provide the services a water system is unable to provide directly. Managing these contractors and consultants is key to managing your water system.
