This session will have two 3 hour sessions. The morning session is a wastewater only class. The afternoon is Water and Wastewater. See below.
WW Lab Sampling/Alternative Disinfection: Morning 9am-12pm: 0.3 WW Approved
The first 1 1/2 hour: Wastewater Lab Sampling is a great class for veteran and beginning operators to review sampling regulations and practices. Sampling covered pH, Temperature, Solids, BOD, COD,TOC, TOD, Nitrogen and Phosphors. The next 1 1/2 hour: Are disinfection byproducts or permit regulations causing you grief or is chlorine just not meeting your needs. Check out what other chemicals or processes may suit your particular system better. We will cover UV, Ozone, and other options that are available today.
This 1 ½ hour presentation reviews mapping of your Collection & Distribution systems piping and appurtenances, creation of gatebooks (field guides) and the information they need to contain. Other topics covered will be latest GIS layering technology.
This 1 1/2 hour session: Whether it is biological, chemical, or physical, the wastewater profession has more hazards than most professions. This class covers those potential hazards, confined spaces, mitigating hazards, personal protection equipment, and more making your workplace a safer place to be
