Apprenticeship Preparation Program

What is the Apprenticeship Preparation Program?

To ensure long-term success with our Apprenticeship Program, ERWoW is expanding efforts to support apprenticeship preparation. This phase equips potential apprentices—especially high school students—with foundational knowledge in math, science, safety, and professional skills. It also introduces them to the roles and responsibilities in the water industry, helping them make informed career decisions and enter apprenticeships with confidence. By building awareness and readiness early, ERWoW strengthens workforce development, improves retention, and ensures the ongoing protection of public health through a skilled, motivated workforce. Utilizing high schools throughout Washington we allow another option for students through a new CTE (Career Technical Education) path.

If you are interested in a career path in the water industry or just wanting more information please fill out the training inquiry form below.

The Evergreen Rural Water of Washington Apprenticeship Committee (ERWoWAC) commits to the following Equal Opportunity Pledge. ERWoWAC will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older. The ERWoWAC will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 30. The ERWoWAC will undertake appropriate outreach and positive recruitment efforts that would reasonably be expected to increase minorities’ and women’s participation in apprenticeship by expanding the opportunities of minorities and women to become eligible for apprenticeship selection.
